DW Twisted™ Rainbow Tree Exotic

Tris is currently touring with his new DW Twisted Rainbow Tree Exotic kit. The wood came from one in a million poplar trees found in France. This Exotic is described as Twisted, with the grain pattern running diagonally across the shell. Twisted Exotics are a completely new look, never before seen on a set of drums and until now, not possible without this latest advancement from the Drum Workshop Custom Shell Shop. DW Koa Wood Kit

These are photos of Tris' Koa wood DW drumkit that he recently toured with. The kit was made by John Good of DW - it's made entirely out of koa wood, which is only found in Hawaii. Being that Tris' is pretty much Hawaiian at heart, John felt that the kit would be perfect for him. The kit's hardware is entirely plated with 18k gold. When the people at Gibraltar got word of Tris' new kit, they figured that he should have nothing more than a brand new 24k gold plated rack to match his new kit. Amazingly, every last piece of hardware on this kit is gold - including the scews and the chain on the pedals.

This is Tris' drumkit used for the Summer 2004 Chicago - Earth Wind & Fire Tour.
